Of course, by “win” we mean a win with the vast majority of people in this province who will be no happier than Moe with Friday’s split-decision loss.

“Obviously, I am disappointed with today’s ruling, but it’s just one step in opposing the Trudeau carbon tax,” Moe told reporters in a statement that referenced the “Trudeau carbon tax” six times — better than once per minute.

Moe likened this to a seven-game Stanley Cup playoff series — this decision being a Game 1 loss with further games in courts in Ontario and elsewhere, culminating in Game 7 before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Nevertheless, the 155-page decision sure read like a resounding legal defeat for Moe, right from the opening overview to the aforementioned conclusion.
