Nearly-decapitated Idaho boy is surviving and thriving

A 4-year-old boy who was internally decapitated not only beat the odds by surviving, but is now actually thriving. He’s expected to make a full recovery, thanks to the quick thinking of two Good Samaritans who happened upon the near-fatal car crash in which he was involved.

Little Killian Gonzalez has been released from the a Boise, Idaho, hospital and is walking and talking again. His mother Brandy was also released from the hospital. 

She sent a video of her son cheerfully chatting while playing a board game to KBOI-TV.

“He’s doing amazing. Sore, but amazing,” she said.

The TV station also posted a touching video of when mother and son were first reunited after being released from separate hospitals.
